The true 'genius' in the personage of Jesus Christ can only be appreciated with the realization that not only was he a brilliant communicator but also an extraordinarily courageous man whose willing acceptance to undergo the agony of the crucifixion was clearly an act of pure love to free all human beings on earth. With the knowledge we now have about the incredible power of the Verb (Logos), it is also possible to understand:
Why Jesus had to speak and preach in parables. If he had spoken openly in plain language to people about free will, Jesus would have been silenced immediately, if not by certain classes of individuals (high and chief priests, etc.) among his own (Jewish) people, then certainly by the Roman overlords. Moreover, even if Jesus had been able to speak openly about free will, the impact upon people would have been minimal without the crucifixion as demonstrable 'proof' that man has a free will and the 'resurrection' (as a supernatural miracle) to persuade people to truly believe in his Message. Thus, Jesus had to communicate his Message to the (common) people via the subconscious mind by speaking in parables and accepting to be crucified:
"All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable spake he not unto them: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world." (my bold)
Moreover, we know from the Gospels that Jesus was well aware that not only many would not understand his Message:
"Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do."
But that others would even abuse it:
"Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing; but inwardly they are ravening wolves."
However, Jesus also knew that even if his Message were misconstrued and his person deified, the Message would still come subtly through via the subconscious mind:
"But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God." (my bold)
And finally that his Message would ultimately be clearly and fully understood in the conscious mind, even if only after a delay of nearly 2,000 years:
"These things have I spoken unto you in proverbs: but the time cometh, when I shall no more speak unto you in proverbs, but I shall shew you plainly of the Father."
Thus, whatever Paul's intentions may have been in making a "God" out of Christ, by deifying Jesus' person(*) Paul could only fan the flames of ardour among those who had faith and believed on his (Jesus') name. Slowly, yet surely, Christianity has evolved over nearly two millennia to become what it is today. And now that mankind finally has the means to understand in the conscious mind the true and full meaning of Christ's Message, people all over the earth should quickly embrace it and become true Christians. Because, while it is apparent that the power of the Verb (Logos) (and the influence of prophecy and prediction on the collective unconscious of mankind) was widely known long ago by ancient wise men and certainly also by Nostradamus, only Jesus, who understood most fully of all the power of the Verb (Logos), demonstrated to mankind by his personal suffering example, the capacity of the human mind and spirit (will) to master it(**). And, when we exercise our free will in this way, we truly are the "Sons of God":
"Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. (my bold)
Therefore, the conclusion I have come to, the only logical conclusion I could come to, namely that
JESUS CHRIST,
Son of man(***), the Light of the World, is truly the greatest
CULTURAL COMMUNICATOR
in all the history of mankind!
(*) In retrospect, it is clear that, given the time and age in which Jesus lived his deification was unavoidable and necessary. In order for society to begin to change gradually from one characterized by kings and subjects and masters and slaves to one where ultimately all people would be accepted as being equal, it was essential that people really believe that Jesus is the Messiah. And it was vitally important that that belief be exercised faithfully and religiously without question, just as Abraham had to demonstrate unquestioning obedience to God when he was asked to sacrifice his son Isaac.
(**) (i.e. We are no longer a 'subject' of the Verb (Logos)/God, but rather its/His enlightened servant.)
(***) Jesus foresaw clearly his ultimate 'glorification' as the 'Son of man':
"Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things. And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him." (my bold)
